Faith Formation

At Union we view faith formation as a life-long process and therefore have learning opportunities for all ages in a number of venues. We also subscribe to the idea that intergenerational worship and faith formation is vital to forming relationships, growing spirituality, and encouraging children and youth, as well as adults, on their faith journeys, sustaining them into the future.

Pew Research and Lifelong Faith Study have both shown that intergenerational relationships and worship are needed to provide fulfilling relationships and move youth to faith practicing adults.

Sunday mornings provide adults and intergenerational groups’ opportunities to grow spiritually.

We continue to Grow Together with a number of small group opportunities throughout the month.

We offer At Home Resources to provide further opportunities to take Sunday’s message and apply it to our daily lives seasonally, with the Godly Play stories, or with scripture themes. These include prayers, discussion ideas and activities for individuals and family.

We provide:
Families with books and resources, our most recent was “Homegrown Faith & Justice: Faith-Forming Activities, Conversations, Rituals and Resources for Families with Children”, and seasonal devotionals or books for the community.

Attention Adults: Watch the calendar for “Bible & Brew” at McCoy’s Public House in St. Louis Park on a Thursday evening. Pastor Barb shares some insights about the scripture text for the coming Sunday as well as guided conversation about a wide variety of ‘churchy’ topics. Come with your questions!
