Worship

Choir Loft Window

Our theology is liberal and our worship leans left of traditional. We’re not your parents’ church and certainly not the church of your grandparents. However, we do embrace traditional elements that support our theology: a church choir, a hymnal, pipe organ, and a hand bell choir. Contemporary elements include “A Story for All Ages” instead of a Children’s sermon, which expands on Bible themes in a way that is accessible to all learning ages and abilities. In addition, our services often include lively music played on the piano and/or with a variety of instruments. A drum circle or didgeridoo would not be out of place. Humor is a regular element in sermons as is real-life application of the scripture, which we take seriously, but not literally. Creativity infuses our worship every Sunday. We like to be playful with each other and prayerful, too. Children of all ages are welcome for the entire service. The Spirit is moving in this place!
