“Let the little children come to me,” Jesus said. At Union, children hold a special place in our worship services: singing, drumming, acting, ringing bells, serving as acolytes, and more. We’re glad they often feel as comfortable in the sanctuary as they do on our playground.
Following the weekly children’s sermon, preschoolers and elementary school students take part in our lively Sunday school curriculum, taught by dedicated teachers. Junior and senior high students meet Sunday mornings to explore how God and faith are working in their everyday lives.
Our two-year confirmation program serves students in eighth and ninth grade. Upon completion, each student may decide whether to reaffirm baptismal vows and/or join the church.
Our youth groups, covering grades six through 12, participate in fun, team-building events and give back to the community: at church, in the greater Twin Cities area and on far-flung summer mission work trips. Summertime also finds Union kids participating in Vacation Bible School and heading to Pilgrim Point Camp near Alexandria, Minn. | |
